ADVERTISERS OF THE WEEK

Webby Awards
Web sites from around the world can get in the running for a Ninth Annual Webby Awards nomination – and bask in the industry recognition and global media attention – by visiting http://www.webbyawards.com and entering. For nearly a decade, The Webby Awards have been recognized as the leading international honors for web sites.

Sites can now be submitted in 65 categories. The 35 new additions include industry specific categories like Automotive, Beauty & Cosmetics, Employment, Retail, Real Estate and Investor Relations, as well as consumer interest categories like Blog, Celebrity/Fan Site and Social Networking.

Register for FREE Document Management Class
eBizITPA will be delivering Introduction to Document Management class at their Center on Tuesday, October 19, 2004, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.   This is a beta delivery of the course, and we’d like to invite representative(s) from various organizations, free of charge, to experience the class and give us any feedback they may have.

By way of some background, effective document management and exchange processes are critical to a company’s efforts to access and maintain knowledge capital and distribute it to internal and external customers.  In addition, high-profile regulations like HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC Rule 17a-4 are drawing increased attention to the practice of document management, which helps companies comply with those government- or self-imposed regulations and has added practical benefits such as reduced operating costs and improved transactional efficiencies.

In the October 19 session, attendees will explore some of the benefits and opportunities associated with electronic document management and related technologies such as workflow, scanning, and records management.

Please e-mail denise.brooks@ebizitpa.org ASAP and let her know if you plan to attend.  Space is limited to 15 attendees.

Mindbridge Software Named One of the Delaware Valley's Fastest Growing Technology Companies in Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Program
Philadelphia based Mindbridge has been named to Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for the Delaware Valley, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area by Deloitte & Touche LLP, one of the nation's leading professional services firms. Rankings are based on the percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues over five years, from 1999-2003.

To qualify for the Technology Fast 50 companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1999 and $1, 000,000 in 2003, must be public or private companies headquartered in North America, and be a "technology company" defined as owning proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operating revenues (using other companies' technology in a unique way does not qualify); and /or devoting a significant proportion of revenues to research and development of technology.

Winners of the 19 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America’s top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
