Many experts expect e-commerce to become more about multichannel selling and thus provide a huge advantage to traditional retailers. The body reads: "I'm sorry to do so, but it's helpless to say sorry. I want a good job I must support my parents. Now you have seen my technical capabilities. How much my year-salary now? No more than $5,500. What do you think of this fact? Don't call my names, I have no hostility. Can you help me?" America Online is now linking to H&R Block's tax service site and H&R Block is offering a range of online tax preparation services, including do-it-yourself online tax forms, professional review of taxpayer prepared forms, and professional tax preparation. Last year, business-to-business e-commerce was being touted worldwide as the next technological advancement. According to a report by GartnerG2, creating and implementing the technology needed for B2B e-commerce was the easy part; more difficult was moving the buyer-supplier relationship to the Web. Real impediments included the lack of industry standardization for e-commerce technology, disparate languages, taxes and currencies. Burger King has announced a new ordering system for 1,000 of its restaurants that will allow managers to purchase food, packaging and other supplies from distributors over the Web. The company said the system will simplify the processes used by these 13 distributors and 400 suppliers and hopefully reduce errors. Restaurant Services, the ordering network, hopes to have at least 5,000 restaurants on the system within two years. But that will mean outfitting many Burger Kings with a computer. Can you rely on health related information you acquire from the Internet? A recent study of Web sites providing information on five health topics found that such information was not always accurate. A new study hopes to collect information about the effect of cyber medicine and e-health and any patients who may have been harmed psychologically or physically because of inaccurate information obtained over the Web. Buy.com recently introduced expanded global shipping capabilities, including a service that informs international shoppers of total shipping costs in their local currency. Buy.com fulfills international deliveries via a Florida warehouse, shipping products to 15 countries. In a recent report, analysts predict that e-commerce in Asia-Pacific and Western Europe will grow at the fastest clip in the next few years and growth in Internet use in Asia-Pacific and Latin America will outpace growth in the United States, Canada and several European nations. And by 2005, the United States will trail both Asia-Pacific and Europe in the number of total Internet users. ANSWER: ALASKA!
