The new "Are You Aware" program provides an innovative e-tool to assist community members in researching location based crime occurrences, such as:

• Evaluating and supporting crime prevention efforts.
• Conduct research for papers, presentations, grant applications, or business presentations.
• Provide students and parents with crime statistics for college campuses.
• Help students learn more about their communities and the state through class assignments/projects such as:

                    How does one community instances of crime compare with another's?
                    Is a specific community, region or jurisdiction's crime on a rise or decline?
                    What are the crime trends over the past 5 years for a given area?
